Is Wayne Brady Gonna Have To Choke A *****?

WWW
« on: September 09, 2007, 07:56:04 pm »

I've been gone for a couple of weeks filming, but during the down times I would relax by installing stuff on the Tek.  The carbon steel pipes finally came in and I got them installed...but only temporarily because I was so anxious to see how it would all look that I didnt paint them, so they're still primer gray.  But I still like how it ended up looking.  I cut a hole through the driver's side grill and installed an intake funnel and ductwork that locks into the fronts of the twin cones under the hood to ram external air into them.  The pipes are carbon steel...heavy as heck, but I put a reinforcement arm in that holds it in place.  Plus they were forged to withstand 2000 degrees of direct heat, so the air inside them remains cool.  My Tek is running cooler and seems to have more pep.  The best part is the throatier sound it makes when I get on it.  I tried to upload some pics to my album but it appears some changes have taken place so they need admin approval.   cool  I am trying to attach a couple here instead.

I can take more detailed pics of them if anyone is interested, and since the plans to the pipes are now in his computer at work, he says I can make them on an individual basis now if anyone else wants em.  Price is waffling around the $150 area.

Very nice looking.  There are times I wish my 'Tek was the same bright blue as yours instead of black.  It's such a wonderful blue and would match my Tracker perfectly.  (Blue is obviously my favorite color, with Black second in line)

If you can't fix it yourself, redesign it since it was obviously poorly designed to begin with, otherwise you could fix it yourself.  Right?

Thanks all.  Jes wait til I get the air ram pipes all painted, and the engine cover on there.

Clark: no, I didn't do anything to the computer, but I probably should disconnect the battery for a bit to be on the safe side.

Scuba: I tried to attach some pics in there, but it only allows 4 at a time, so I uploaded them to my gallery...I'm running into that same problem where it requires your approval before they appear though.  I uploaded some clearer pics I took just a minute ago to try and better show what it looks like and how its set up.  Here are four I am attaching just to give at least a little more info til the gallery pics are approved.
