Greetings all,

The Photo Gallery got all Messed up, it seems that the bridge between the board software and the Gallery software got broken and the link between the username in the gallery and the forums was lost, probably happened when the forum software was upgraded.

I have installed the latest version of Coppermine and it is now up and running.  I have recovered all of the original photos......Unfortunatle y, there is no way to link the directories in the galleries to Usernames.  So I will be going through the Folders one by one and trying to figure out which is which.

In the mean time feel free to begin to populate the new galleries.  I am not going to reinstate the software to connect the Forums to the gallery.  So you will have to create a separate login for the gallery.

Once I get the recovered files into the gallery,  send me a PM or an email to tell me which directory is yours and I will move the photos over to it.

I am sorry that this happened and I know it has caused a major inconvenience to the members.

If there are any questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact me.

Okay - wait - needs some more work!? I can't log into the photos area? Before it would remember me from "here" - the forum. But no, and when I try to log in with the same credentials - it doesn’t recognize me.

Silly computer! cheesy

For now, I'll try to "Register" on the photo forum too.

Some points of clarification.....

You do have to re-register for the Photos Gallery,  The problem before was the third party software that created the bridge between the forums and the gallery.  I am not going to reinstate it at this time for two reasons......I don't want to lose the gallery again and most importantly I don't want it to mess up the forums.

I have not yet restored all the Directories,  Keep in mind I There are well over 300 different directories and I have to manually create them in the gallery software and then link that directory to the directoy on the server.

I will be doing them hopefully 5-10 per day until they are all up.

So......

If you do not see your old photos there don't fear...they are all still on the server.
