Mine does this on rare occasions ... not sure why.  All I have to do is turn off my vehicle and turn it back on and it fixes the problem.

If the problem is not going away, you can use the shifter override button located under your upper cupholder.  Pull out the cupholder and take off the little cover on the left side of it.  I have never personally done this, but from a quick scan of other threads on the AFC, there should be some sort of small hole inside that cover that will allow a small object to be inserted to push a button so you can manually use the shifter.  Of course if this is an ongoing problem you should definitely go get it checked out ASAP and only use this as a temporary fix!

No problem, glad to help.  And welcome to AFC!

Sounds like your issue may be with the brake transaxle shift interlock.  Just something to keep in mind.

I had the same issue one day while trying to move the Tek from the street to the garage. It stuck in park, and when I used the override button, discovered that all gears had moved up one according to the shifter.  Park was actually reverse, reverse was neutral, neutral was drive, etc.  Took it into the dealer and had to have the whole shifter cable assembly replaced, according to the repair orders, the shifter cable assembly had completely shattered!
