Jamie's mom is a Building Technology Assistant at the high school in my town. She informed me a week before I was to be laid off that there was a position opening up. With a letter of recommendation from her and several good references, good previous work experience and nice titles I was able to get an interview. That was intimidating, being interviewed by a board, however, one of the members was a neighbor who my sister was good friends with her son. After an excrusciatingly long exceedlingly drawn-out period of time from turning my app in (Jan 3) to my interview (Jan 14) to today, I've been nervously hoping I would get the job. I've had my fingers crossed soo long (and drexel, maan, he keeps his fingers crossed for everyone and apparently they're some dang good luck fingers) they're pretty much perminantly stuck that way. I was starting to run low on money and had to cut out that 4th Whopper of the day. Yesterday the head of the technology board's secretary called me to set up a phone call for today with him. I called and he appologized for how long it's taken, but offered me the job. So now I'm
Brian Richardson : Aztek owner and fanatic : Building Technology Assitant for USD260 (as you can see, priorities come in to play)

"Jamie" as in "Hand print in paint, Jamie?" ... if so ... forgiven!
Good news, Good news! Happy to hear it. Best of luck as you start your new role, you've earned it.

Yes, that Jamie. And it was his mom, so not so sure about the forgiven part. lol. Thanks Congratulations Little B. So does this mean that you are back working at your old school......Oh the Irony Well, I'll be there for a few days at least for some training...but I highly doubt they'll place me at either of the high schools simply because of my age. Security would always be hasslin me asking for a hall pass or something. Plus, they'll just assume "boys will be boys". It'd be nice to see old friends I left behind, but then again I burnt many a bridge when I left a year early, so maybe it's a good thing I'll be at an elementary school most likely. If the cards are REALLY in my favor, I'll be at the school at the end of my street (literally could walk to work, heck, I see the school from my front porch) where the red 01 works.

Congrats Brian. See, it was worth the wait afterall. And yes my fingers have cramped up to the point that I started loosing feeling in them. I just relaxed them for a moment and backed to being crossed for iamleebob's wheels. If they don't pan out for him, I might just try to sell him my 18's Oh, I might just have to start crossing my fingers for myself. I'm still waiting for my own promotion, again.

I'm not into spinners. Also not really into huge rims either, but they're at least acceptable to me. But, its what you are into that counts. Not many people on these forums seem to dog anybody else out for the things they do...everyone seems fairly supportive.

I found this...wanted to spread the magic. A mower with spinners, actual neon underglow, and yes...that IS a tiny plasma screen under the bag guard.
