Dude, that's a kickarse lens.  You don't get to keep it do you?

Aztek-Knight, That sucks for your friend.  That's one of the big reasons I always use a lens hood and why I purchased the 7D over the, nearly equivalent, T2i.  I wanted the pro-body made out of metal.  It can still get hurt but it'll take a hit better than a plastic camera.

UPDATE 2:
I just bought the EF 85mm f/1.2l ii USM.  It's going to be insane Smiley  I'm also buying the EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro in a few hours.

I also bought a new camera bag to hold all my crap.  The Lowepro 450AW:

It's a really nice bag with a ton of room and I got a great deal on it. $161 on eBay.

Rock on!

Sounds like a great camera... my wife was wanting something like that. The DSLRs are nice, but they are a chunk-o-camera... something smaller will do the job okay for quick snaps/when camping/crazy amount of kids around etc. etc.

Does your use "normal" power (AA batts) ... or have a power cell you charge?

It has a rechargeable lithium ion battery. You can recharge it by plugging the USB cable to the computer or plug it in to the wall. I Got it at Walmart (Black Friday)
for $79.99, it also came with a free carrying case and a 4GB memory card.

Exposure 8.0 sec   ISO-80   F-stop f/3.1
